I will install two sculptures in the garden of the bishopric near the cathedral.
One is Litholigne, which I first exhibited at the Château du Grand Jardin at Joinville.
The second is a new piece inspired by the site, by the theme of the festival and with a nod to William Blake it is called
To Hear a World in the Grain of Oak.
Saturday 20th July at 17h30 meeting with Will Menter and presentation of his piece « Litholigne » in the garden of the bishopric,
followed at 18h by the projection of 3 of his films in the auditorium inside the bishopric :

One Possible Sound Field
I have installed a new piece for "Jumièges à Ciel Ouvert", triennale of contemporary art at the Abbaye de Jumièges
in Normandy, near Rouen. The other artists are Shigeko Hirakawa, Jean-Luc Bichaud, Christian Lapie, Nils Udo and
the curator is Jean-Marc Barroso.
The exhibition is open every day from 9h30 to 18h30 until the end of October.

I have installed two new sculptures in the forest of Pinceloup near Clairefontaine-en-Yvelines. They are permanent
but at the moment there are no signs to help find them. If you want to visit, message me at will@willmenter.com

Murmure d'Eau
From 19th to 29th September I will be at the Ferme de Chosal
in Haute Savoie to make and install a new permanent piece
in the woods beside the river. Inauguration on the 29th.

snowdrops by starlight
It
is 3 years since I last exhibited at Cambo near St Andrews, so I think
I can say again that it is a rare chance to see and hear my work in Scotland.
As in 2011 I am installing a large "touch wood" sculpture (80
metres long) and "branch lines" - but in different sites this
time so they will become new pieces. Also I will hang 40 wind flutes from
the trees and make two inside installations - "falling water"
and "dry sea".
The starlight festival runs from 12th-16th
February and the sculptures will stay in place until April 16th

As well as being the title of my new book/cd this is the name of a big retrospective exhibition. In the garden of the château are four installations, including one new work "Litholigne", and a commissioned permanent work "Oak Twins". Click here to view some photos.

snowdrops by starlight
A
rare chance to see some of my work in Scotland, I am exhibiting as part
of the snowdrop festival at Cambo Estate near St Andrews. I have installed
a large "touch wood" sculpture (80 metres long) and made a new
piece "branch lines" in the woods near the sea (pictured below).
I have also installed 4 existing pieces in the stables : Kissing Cousins,
Slow Talker, Snail's Pace, Tectonic.
The festival runs from February 1st until March 13th. It is open every
day and there are evening tours from 11th-27th February. Details here

La 3ème exposition collective organisée par Originart dans
l'Eglise des Frères Prêcheurs en Arles débute le samedi
19 septembre et se termine le samedi 17 octobre 2009.
Le vernissage aura lieu le samedi 19 septembre à 11h avec
une performance du musicien et sculpteur sonore Will Menter et de la danseuse
Aurore Gruel.
L'exposition, intitulée "L'Air de Riens", rassemble 22
artistes venus de la région mais aussi de toute la France.
L'occasion de présenter des points de vue différents, de
faire entendre des voix nouvelles, permettant ainsi de faire se côtoyer
dessinateurs, graveurs, laqueurs, sculpteurs et peintres.
Pendant la durée de l'exposition différents évènements
culturels sont programmés : performance, lecture sonore, création
théâtre, atelier d'écriture (programme
